FAQ

Q: Where do the refunds come from?

Often government agencies, such as federal, state, county, city and sheriff departments, will have surplus monies from overpaid taxes, real estate sales, estate sales, sale of other personal property. The surplus monies are by law owed to the proper taxpayer but the government agency is not obligated to find these taxpayers. If enough time has passed, the monies that were supposed to be refunded are permanently claimed by the government and cannot be reclaimed. This is where our firm can help before this happens.

Q: How were you able to contact me?

Our firm does multiple internet and public record searches to find our claimants and help them recover their unclaimed funds.

Q: Where are my unclaimed funds located?

The initial search determines that there are unclaimed funds in your name. After we obtain your consent to represent you we are able to learn of the specific details of the unclaimed funds and file the required paperwork for you to receive your refund check.

Q: How long will it take to receive my check?

Once the paperwork is completed and the claim filed with the government agency, the refund check typically takes 60-90 days to be received.
